Canned Coffee Comes of Age
Coffee is a must-have beverage that some people need to drink every morning to be awake and functional for the day. Everyone has some unique way to enjoy their morning coffee; some people cannot even open their eyes until the aroma of coffee hits them while some just manage to grab a cup on their way to work. The Origin of Coffee Coffee is believed to originate from Ethiopia during the 9th century. From there, this amazing beverage quickly became popular and traveled through Egypt to Europe, spreading to the rest of the world. Many countries have different customs in the way they drink coffee. In Turkey, for example, coffee was treated as an intoxicating drink because the word "coffee" originally meant wine. However, the power of coffee was in its taste and aroma, as Europe soon discovered; numerous cafes were opened, where artists and intellectuals gathered and held discussions over cups of the beverage. Coffee continued to gain praise and popularity through the years, and today coffee can be found anywhere in the world. Different Types of Coffee While there are a wide variety of coffee beans available, all of them are believed to come from two main plants: Coffea Arabica and Coffea Canephora. While Canephora contains about 50% more caffeine than Arabica, both plants originate from Ethiopia, and today can be found all over the world, with many different types of beans that have their own unique flavors and aromas. Coffee was initially named after the ports they originally shipped from, so you had names like Mocha, Java, and Yemen. It's quite different today, where specific information about the coffee's origin, blend, content and more can be found right on the package. Giving Canned Coffee a Chance Coffee makes its way into our homes from all over the world in many different forms: granulated versions in jars, freshly ground in vacuum packs or ready to drink in cans. As a coffee addict, I will always recommend fresh ground coffee as my beverage of choice, but I have to admit that instant and canned coffee have indeed come a long way. Popular coffee houses like Starbucks have been influencing me to try out canned coffee during the summer, so I finally went for it. At first, I was skeptical since coffee without its fresh aroma is nothing, and canned coffee did not seem to have that fresh aroma quality about it. Happily, I was proved wrong, as some canned coffee did manage to blend its taste and aroma in perfect harmony, providing us coffee addicts an excellent cold coffee drink just right for a hot summer day. So try out a canned coffee drink with confidence today, and you might just find yourself pleasantly surprised. Even without your espresso machine, you will actually enjoy this alternative to great tasting coffee, and well, don't blame me for suggesting it.
