Coffee And Tea In Our Daily Lives
As far as we can remember, coffee and tea have delighted our palates, having been consumed during the time of ancient civilizations. Of the two, tea was first discovered in China, where it is said that a tea leaf fell by mistake into boiling hot water and the Chinese were very pleased with the result. Even today, some prepare their tea by directly exposing the tea leaves in boiling hot water. In the case of coffee, it was officially discovered in Ethiopia during the 1600s, where it did not take long for its taste and aroma to enchant the whole world. The Caffeine Effect The main ingredient of both coffee and tea is caffeine, which stimulates the brain and invigorates the body, thus removing sleepiness. Most people who drink either coffee and tea drink it first thing in the morning to shake away the sleepiness and be alert and ready for the day. While some will just limit themselves to single serving, others need more than a cup each day. Many debates through the years have come up with arguments that coffee and tea are good or bad for your body. However, as with all other things, moderation is the key. If you maintain a certain dose of coffee regularly, you'll find out that after a while the body becomes used to the caffeine effect, becoming more or less immune, and not reacting in the same way you expect. So if you drink coffee or tea to stay awake, it might take some time for it to take effect. People who are over-sensitive to caffeine but enjoy drinking coffee or tea can also choose to drink caffeine-free versions of these beverages. It's great for those who love to drink coffee before going to bed, yet don't want their sleep to be affected. Drink Up! While not vital for our existence, coffee and tea can indeed make a great difference in our lives. As the saying goes, there is nothing a good cup of coffee or tea cannot fix. No matter what the problem is, it will seem easier to solve after drinking a delicious cup of coffee or tea. And there's some truth in that as well, since it's believed that these beverages also act as relaxants. So drink up, and drink moderately to improve your life.
