Personalized Coffee Mug, Anyone?
When I was a kid, I remember all the various county fairs and all those big state festivals that my family and I went to every summer. There were festivities that lasted a whole day. I remember seeing various presentations, enjoying all the rides, participating in games and indulging myself with delicious foods around me. However, what I enjoy most back then was checking around different stalls that offer different items. In these stalls you will always find one that sells coffee mugs. They are not just plain coffee mugs but personalized coffee mugs that have pictures on them. Giving mugs as a Christmas gift to people that we are not close to or we do not really like has become some kind of a tradition in our family. This is why we always had to find mugs at fairs. Although I do not consider my grandparents to be one of those people I do not like, I have always felt that they deserve to have or they would even love to have personalized coffee mugs with our photo on them. No one in the family agrees with me, considering that I am the youngest among them and therefore I am not always taken seriously. At the same, I was curious to know how they placed images on the personalized coffee mugs. The process then was pretty simple. Just slide the photo in the clear plastic that is wrapped around the mug then seal it. Doing it this way has a disadvantage because however you have sealed the plastic, moisture always finds a way to get in thus, the image inside is destroyed. The process eventually changed as time passed and now laminating is being done. This process not only places the photo securely on the mug but also makes it even better looking, too. Of course nowadays, with the kind of technology that is available, like the emerging of computers, images can be downloaded and attached to personalized coffee mugs. Direct printing of photos to the coffee mug can also be done. There is no limit to what people can do, as long as desires are still driving them to do what they want. Remembering those personalized coffee mugs during state fairs still gives me that warm feeling inside.
